Full Sheen Ahead

This venerable Archbishop, who lived from 1895 to 1979, was born in Illinois.  He studied in both Europe and America in order to become ordained into priesthood.  After receiving his degrees from the respective universities, he began his preaching and teaching of God’s word in a very successful career, helping multitudes of people.  Using radio, as a Monsignor, he created “The Catholic Hour” that ran for 22 years from 1928 and ending in 1950.  He spent most of his life in New York, especially after he was consecrated as a bishop in 1951. A year later, in 1952,  he began his television show called

“Life is WorthLiving”.

This show aired from 1952 to 1957.

Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen

As an individual, Bishop Sheen was the man with a smile that could charm anyone.  His eyes hypnotized all present and whose voice rang out like a majestic trumpet.  He had the ability to make all his listeners both laugh and cry, depending on the topic. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy still remains as timeless as the wisdom he still imparts today.  He is a modern-day prophet.
